So after working my final weekend as a bartender and saying my goodbyes, I headed back up to the house. On Wednesday I decided to take the day off and head out to explore. The idea was to get out of the house early and take my time driving the countryside. I had decided that I would write this blog and I wanted plenty of pictures to go with it.
Just as I was getting ready to head out Chuck, who owns the property with Jennifer, was pulling in. They had gotten our messages about the storm and the bats and Chuck was here to fix the lawnmower that had broken two weeks earlier.
While he was trying to get it running I decided that I might as well clean up the yard again (from Friday’s storm) in case he got it running. Did I mention how BIG 1.5+ acres are? Another 4 piles of branches!
After working with Chuck and doing a walkthrough of the various issues (bats, HVAC, roof shingles, etc.) it was finally time to head out. But before I took off I wanted to get the scoop on the lawnmower.
He couldn’t get it fixed. So it looks like I won’t be mowing until he does. To be honest, I was kind of looking forward to learning how to ride a lawnmower. So I’m kinda bummed. But after seeing just what the lot line boundaries were, I could now breathe a sigh of relief!
